We are back...

Well we finally made it back from Mexico. Why does it always seem like it takes longer to get home? It was wonderful!!! Too blasted hot at times...thank God for air conditioning! The first picture is the hut we would sit in by the pool. Great views and a pleasant breeze!

Here is the path to the beach...

The ocean...

This is the other side of the pool. There were at least 3 more pools just on the property we were on...

Well, it was fun while we were gone but it's nice to be home too. :)
Now for the deprograming of the children...

Today was the first day we got to go to the public pool. The girls have been asking since March when they could go. They had a blast!
I had lost them for a while in the pool and when i saw them again they were running towards me. I was afraid something had happened. But Andie burst out in a huge grin and said, "I went down the big slide!" HUH? Really?!? I have got to see this! So with a little girl on each side of me (and my camera in my hand) I got to see this...

Andie went down the slide all alone! Without me! No talking about it! No negotiating! No whining! Ladies and Gentlemen this is a first! You know what? That wasn't the only first of the day. If you look carefully at the first picture in my post there are TWO little girls smiling. Two real smiles. As some of you know my Andie has not been real keen on smiling lately. Like for the last year and a half. I'll have to post her latest school pictures... but that's for another time... My little girls are growing up (sigh). It makes me feel so good when something like this happens. It makes me feel like I am doing something right and these kids might just turn
out alright after all...

Since I am completely blogger illiterate (and spelling challenged) I have to add my pictures in another entry instead of with the post... Here's the pool. Bargain of the century $40. Thanks Mom! :) Here's to warmer weather!

You gotta love the smell of Coppertone in the morning!

Eric came home this morning to put up the pool for the girls. AWWW so sweet! They were SO excited! We went out for lunch with some friends, ran some errands (I finally got my Mary Jane Crocs!) and when we got home they got to go in the pool. Not before I doused them with the sunscreen. Don't want anymore burnt little bodies! They smelled so good! They lasted about a half hour before they started begging me to put some hot water in the pool. Well, sorry girls you're going to have to wait for Mother Nature to warm things up...
